Reporting to the Chairperson and the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer will provide effective management of the day-to-day operations of the business affairs of the organization; accurate and timely reporting of operating and financial info material for the organization; and act as the primary contact for the Board of Directors. The Chief Executive Officer will be accountable for all areas involving administration and management, campaigns, community development, as well as financial areas.Our Client provides an experience to fund the largest social and health support services in the City of Brandon. They bring people together from all sectors to identify and address the underlying causes of the community?s most serious issues. Combining knowledge, experience and resources, they are able to work toward a shared vision of positive and lasting change. The Board will be responsible for the approval of the annual operating budget, the strategic business plan, all matters occurring outside of the normal day-to-day course of the organization?s business, any changes to the approved budget, and other matters which might be considered fundamental or not in the ordinary course of business as set out herein. All other matters occurring in the course of the organization?s day-to-day business activities are the responsibility of the Chief Executive Officer, subject to such internal controls and approvals, having regard to their nature and amount, as the Chief Executive Officer may establish with approval of the Board.Responsibilities: Strategic 3yr planning and reviewing of the plan annuallyDeveloping annual operating plan, financial budget, goals and objectives for approval by the BoardSupporting the finance committee while they prepare and present the financial budget to the board resulting in authorized expenditures to be managed by the Chief Executive OfficerManaging authorized expenditures Providing budget recommendations with costs and analysis to the Board for approvalProviding financial reports, no less than quarterly, setting out the budget to date; previous year?s actual expenditures to date; and the current year?s actual expenditures to dateAll staff personnel matters with the exception of ones that require Executive Committee or Board approval such as; changes in personnel; compensation affecting approved budget; and possible legal liability mattersEstablishing operational policies for recommendation to and approval by the BoardImplementing Board directivesEnsuring efficient and effective communications on all issues affecting the organization?s governance as well as to all other parties involved Qualifications: Senior Management expertise in fund distribution, fundraising, administration, communication, or marketingProven skill in dealing with corporate giving and employee fundsDemonstrated ability to provide support to volunteers and staff (Boards, Committees, funded organizations, Campaign, etc.)Demonstrated success in running workplace campaigns or similar fundraising enterprisesAdvanced communication, public speaking and presentation skillsDemonstrated commitment to the voluntary sector with experience in areas of social or human servicesExpertise in volunteer leadership including, recruitment, training, and supervisionSelf motivated and innovative with the ability to work with little supervisionAbility to establish priorities and timelines to handle multiple projects in an efficient, accurate and professional mannerPolitical sensitivity and an understanding of issues as they relate to the Organization (impact on, campaign, agencies or donorsClear understanding of mandate and goals of Registered Charities or Not-For-Profit organizationsMicrosoft Office xxxx, Quick Books Pro, and database software experienceAbility to become knowledgeable to proficient in the use of fundraising softwareMin of 5 yrs experience in a senior management position of a Registered Canadian charity The successful incumbent will have senior management expertise, including extensive experience in 2 or more of the following areas; fund distribution, fundraising, administration, communication, or marketing. As well, this individual will be extremely passionate about leading an organization that has played an integral part in building healthy and strong communities by way of connecting community needs to community resources.
