In this role you will be leading a business development department that is poised to triple in size over the next 48 months.The Role:Lead a team of Business Development specialists, and coordinate related activities including hiring, training, coaching and development of the sales team;Develop and implement policies and procedures on systems and the flow of information;Collect and analyze information that measures the success of the operation and marketing strategies;Manage all activities related to the running of the operation including planning, monitoring and achievement of departmental goals;Develop departmental budgets and control costs;Liaise with clients, suppliers and departments within the organization as necessary. You and your experience:You have completed post-secondary education in a business related discipline;You have a minimum of 5 years experience in a leadership role in a sales environment;You are experienced with creating, implementing and maintaining processes within a complex sales environment;You are known for your exceptional leadership and enjoy mentoring, developing and empowering your team;Your creative thinking allows you to provide solutions for challenges and develop strong and effective marketing strategies;You are a continuous learner and always make it a priority to stay informed with up-to-date product knowledge;You are a confident professional who excels with professional relationships and presentations;While you can focus on the details you are also able to see the bigger picture; andThough not a requirement, experience working in a financial, insurance or real estate environment is ideal.About the company:People Corporation is a leading employee benefits, group retirement and human resources consulting firm in Canada.
